Meet the Squad of Innovators
Tigran Tshorokhyan
- Since 2024, he has been the Lead of Innovation and SDG Finance Portfolio at UNDP in Armenia.
- He joined the team at the SDG Center in November 2018 and served as the UNP Armenia's National SDG Lab's head from 2021 to 2024.
- Former Executive Director of the "Digital Armenia" Foundation.
- Former Advisor at the Council of Europe.
- Holds a Master's degree in Political Science from Yerevan State University and a Ph.D. in Political Science from the Armenian-Russian University.
Tigran Petrosyan
- Tigran joined Armenia SDG Innovation Lab in June 2024.
- Worked as a national expert in municipal innovative programming within the Mayors for economic growth project (M4EG), also worked as a national expert on advocacy and communication for the “Tax for Sustainable Development Goals initiative, Armenia” project.
- Worked as an Advocacy and Lobbying Officer at the Armenian Caritas BNGO for five years. He has many years of experience in providing expert services in the field of advocacy for various local and international organizations.
- Worked as the governor of Shirak region of Armenia between 2019-2021
- Taught courses in Biomedical Engineering and Database at the The National Polytechnic University of Armenia Gyumri branch between 2002-2017.
- Tigran is the founder of 'North Adventure Armenia', a tour company offering unique extreme and adventure experiences in Armenia.
- He holds a Ph.D. in technical sciences, graduated from the State Engineering University of Armenia, and is the author of several scientific articles.
Lusine Saghumyan
- Joined the SDG Lab team in July 2023.
- Worked at the "Children of Armenia Fund" (COAF), the Children's Development Foundation, and the Women's Resource Center.
- Provided consultancy services to the Asian Development Bank, the Austrian Red Cross, UNICEF, the German Development Agency, and other organizations.
- Holds a Master's degree in Human Rights and Democratization from the Center for European Studies at Yerevan State University. Also holds a Master's degree from Tbilisi State University and a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from Yerevan State University.
Nayiri Shorjian
- Joined the Lab team in March 2019.
- Former Counselor and Trainer at Oghak NGO.
- Holds a Master's degree in Political Science and International Affairs with emphasis on Public Policy from the AUA. Holds a BA in Psychology from Haigazian University, Beirut, Lebanon.
- Has a research experience related to Diaspora, identity, and state-building.
Maria Martirosyan
- Joined the SDG Lab team in March 2024
- Worked at the UNDP Armenia and FAO Armenia country offices as a communications specialist.
- Worked at the American University of Armenia as a compliance and assessment coordinator.
- Studied MA in European Studies from the College of Europe in Natolin. Sdudied BA in Internationl Relations from the Russian-Armenian University.

Syuzanna Martirosyan
- Joined the SDG Lab team in January 2024
- Holds a Master's degree from Indiana University Bloomington. Graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Management from Yerevan State University.
- Prior to joining the SDG Innovatio nLab team, worked as a consultant at the Tobias Center for Innovation and International Development in Indiana, USA.
- Worked as a researcher on civic engagement at the O'Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs in Indiana, USA.
- Was a recipient of the Fulbright and Muskie programs.
Diana Gasparyan
- Joined SDG Innovation Lab in August 2024.
Anush Grigoryan
-Joined the SDG Lab team in May 2023.
-Anush holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Master’s degree in Business Engineering from Russian-Armenian University.
-Anush has worked as an expert in the startup ecosystem of Armenia at the High Technologies Division, Ministry of High-Tech Industry of Armenia.
-Anush is a teaching assistant at the Russian-Armenian University for Startup/Business Engineering class.
Elen Gharagyozyan
- Joined the SDG Lab team in July 2024.
- Before joining the Lab Elen worked at the RA State Revenue Committee as a senior tax officer. She also worked at the RA Ministry of Finance as an economist.
- Elen holds a Master's degree in international economics from the Yerevan State University and a Bachelor's degree in ecnomics from the Russian-Armenian University.
